National Freeway 3 southbound

National Freeway 3 Wufong System Interchange → National Highway 6 → Ailan Interchange → Provincial Highway 21 → Sun Moon Lake (upon seeing the lake and turn left towards Wenwu Temple) → Provincial Highway 21A 7 km turn right →Lealea Richforest Hotel-Sun Moon Lake.

National Freeway 3 northbound

National Freeway Interchange → Provincial Highway 16 → Shuili → Provincial Highway 21 → Provincial Highway 2 at 169 km (see Turn right at Tousha Police Station) → Turn left at 7 km of Provincial Highway 21 →Lealea Richforest Hotel-Sun Moon Lake.

Public transportation
From the railroad station

At the opposite Taichung Railroad Station, take “Nantou Bus route 6670” and get off at the terminal station, the Sun Moon Lake station (Shuishe Visitor Center). Then take the “Nantou Bus Around-the-lake bus route 6669” or ride the Sun Moon LakeLake cruise (last boat before 17:00).

From high-speed rail station

At Taiwan High Speed Rail Taichung Wuri station exit 5 take “Nantou Bus route 6670” and get off at the terminal station, the Sun Moon Lake station (Shuishe Visitor Center). Then take the “Nantou Bus Around-the-lake bus route 6669” or ride the Sun Moon LakeLake cruise (last boat before 17:00).

Others
  • At Taipei Transfer Station, take “Guoguang Bus route 1833” and get off at the terminal station, Sun Moon Lake stop (Shuishe Visitor Center). Then take “Nantou BusAround-the-lake bus route 6669” or Sun Moon Lake cruise (last boat before 17:00).
  • Hotel shuttle service (Reservation required).
    Daily 12:00, 14:00 from Shuishe Visitor Center to the hotel
    11:30, 13:30 from the hotel to Shuishe Visitor Center
